In The Loop Coffee Co.

From Our Lens: Coffee, Company & Corner Stories

Tiny space, big flavor — weekend vibes, early morning bites, and even a pup or two popping in.

Downtown Vibes, Dog-Friendly & Busy in the Best Way

Stepping into In The Loop Coffee Co. in downtown Minneapolis (North Loop / near the heart of the city) felt like stumbling into a cozy little neighborhood hide-out — busy, warm, and full of energy. With apartments above and steady foot traffic nearby, the place was buzzing. Seating is limited, but we scored a table and settled in just fine.

One surprise? It’s dog-friendly inside — and that included bringing pets along even though there’s food being prepared. That felt like a special perk (and kind of rare these days), especially for our group that loves dogs.

Food & Drinks: Real Good, Real Satisfying

Clara – Blueberry Scone + Chai Latte (oat milk)
Slightly sweet scone with a cozy vibe — the chai latte with oat milk made it feel like the perfect morning treat.

Heather – Sausage, Egg & Cheese Croissant Sandwich + “Trapped Puzzle” Chai
The croissant sandwich was hearty and satisfying — flaky croissant, warm egg & sausage, and melty cheese. Paired with a chai latte that hit just right: comforting but not heavy.

Gina – Same Sandwich as Heather + Comedy Caramel Roll Idea Coffee (almond milk)
A second round of that breakfast sandwich — just as good the second time around. The coffee drink was smooth, with a nice nutty-sweet vibe thanks to the almond milk.

Tausha – Café Miel (almond milk)
Sweet, mellow, and warm — perfect for a cozy morning downtown, especially if it would have included a buttery croissant sandwich (or a just-grabbed pastry).

Everything we had tasted fresh, satisfying, and just right for a busy downtown morning.

About In The Loop Coffee Co.

In The Loop serves locally roasted organic, fair-trade coffees, handcrafted teas, fresh smoothies, pastries, sandwiches, and breakfast favorites. The vibe is cozy and welcoming — they aim to make every guest feel like they’re walking into a friend’s kitchen, not just another café. It’s a small space, yes — seating is limited, and at peak times it can feel snug. But one of the most charming things: it’s pet friendly. Dogs are welcome inside and on the patio — water bowls available, and the wall of pup photos / “Mt. Ruffmore” gives it a homey, community-by-pet-owners feel.

Final Take: Cozy Bustle, Solid Coffee & Good Friends

In The Loop Coffee Co. strikes a balance: downtown energy + neighborhood charm. It’s not a huge space, but it’s warm, welcoming, and full of real coffee-house personality. Between the hearty breakfast sandwiches, tasty drinks, and dog-friendly vibe, it’s a spot worth coming back to — especially if you’ve got friends (or pups) in tow.
